CS 0045 - Shamray Custom Shop "LOA SILVERBURST" for Patrick Van Der Wal (Netherlands)

Exact replica of 1980 LP "silverburst" - finish color on Body Top, Body Back, Side Of Body, Back of Neck and Headstock to silver-grey burst color. MOP “Split-diamond” and MOP Shamray inlay on headstock.

Body & neck: Brazilian mahogany selected to provide for authentic "1980" LP-Custom weight (HEAVY!)

Top wood: plain maple top (for sound only - hidden under silverburst paint)

Fretboard: ebony with pearl block inlays, BLUE Led/fiber optic SIDE DOTS, Woolley Mammoth ivory nut

Binding: single layer on fretboard, multi-layer on headstock , & front and back of body.

Hardware: Chrome tune-o-matic bridge & tailpiece, chrome Gotoh "Metal-Keystone"-style machine heads. Chrome strap buttons. Ebony pickup rings, black plastic control cavity covers & jackplate.

Electronics: usual LP Custom wiring; toggle switch, 2 volume, 2 tone. (US-made pots, jack, and switch, metal foil caps)

Knobs: 4 plastic "speed knobs" (black)

Pickups : NO PICKUPS

Case: molded plastic flight case, "Stagg" LP contoured style.

Strings - Ernie Ball 010-046

Special: Solid EBONY pickguard with MOP “Life of Agony”4 skulls inlay (top skull and ring in contrasting color) – multi-layer binding around pickguard.

Neck profile: (updated 7/11) "1960 slim taper"

OTHER UPDATES: (updated 8/20)

* solid ebony pickup rings.
* contrasting MOP (in the pickguard inlay) will be blue 'paua' Abalone.
* blue 'paua' Abalone bell-shaped accent to be inlaid into solid ebony truss rod cover.
* pull pots for splitting the humbuckers (on the tone controls)
* switching output jack turns off side dots when guitar is unplugged
* neck volume control pull-pot (pull to disable side dot lighting)
* client will send his own pickups for installation
